Youth Sports Coaches (Hockey, NFL Flag Football, Basketball, NFL Cheer, Fire Track & Field – experience may be required)

Docents
-
Guide patrons through the exhibition area and greenhouse, and provide information regarding plant material, sculpture pieces, and the facility at large.

Greet patrons and guests as they arrive

May assist in collecting admission fees/tickets from guests

Assist staff with caring for plants in the exhibition and growing greenhouses
Greeter/Reception Desk

Greet patrons and guests as they arrive

Collect admission fees/tickets from guests

Assist in answering incoming phone calls

Organize and maintain front reception area and information area (brochures etc).

Assist occasionally with minor clerical tasks – sorting, labeling, stuffing envelopes
Gift Shop
-
Assist with unpacking, pricing, and displaying merchandise

Re-stocking merchandise as necessary

Assist with counting merchandise when auditing inventory levels
-
Ring up customer sales transactions for giftware and/or admission fees/passes, also assist with gift wrapping

Organize and maintain giftware displays and checkout counter

Assist in answering incoming phone calls

Assist occasionally with minor clerical tasks – sorting, labeling, stuffing envelopes
Special Events
-
Perform setup and take down duties for events – i.e. chairs, tables, tablecloths, décor, etc.

Assist with setup of special items – arbors, easels/signage, divider panels, cocktail tables, food service items.

Monitor perimeter doors and/or rooms during events for security and/or hospitality purposes
-
Assist in completion of facility special event checklist

Collect admission fees/tickets from guests
Horticulture
-
Assist staff with caring for plants in the exhibition and growing greenhouses
-
Perform duties such as possible pruning, watering, sweeping, transplanting, and labeling plants
-
Assist staff with exterior horticulture care and activities
Member Relations
-
Greet patrons and guests as they arrive
-
Promote membership pass sales during large events or tour groups
-
Collect admission fees/tickets from guests
-
Assist in answering incoming phone calls
-
Assist occasionally with minor clerical tasks – sorting, labeling, stuffing envelopes
Educational Support
-
Working with children and adults during special events – i.e. field trips, seminars, and educational sessions.

Assist in the botany classroom/lab with microscopes, and other related instruments and equipment.

Provide hospitality and assistance to instructors, speakers, and presenters as needed.

Assist in setup and cleanup from different educational activities and events

Earthbeat – Various projects – work crews needed for cleaning, brush clearing, trash pick-up, playground chip spreading
